Around 1 in 6 workers experience common mental health issues each week

This Mental Health First Aid England half-day course introduces learners to mental health, common mental health conditions and related issues. It is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their awareness of mental health issues.

Mental Health First Aid England training is designed to benefit those in a range of roles including volunteers, employees, line managers, HR professionals, occupational health professionals and senior leaders.  MHFA training is evidence-based and taught in over 25 countries across all sectors.

Please note that this course does not provide you with the required depth of knowledge and skills to become a mental health first aider.

Participants will gain:

  • an understanding of ‘mental health’ and how to challenge stigma

  • a basic knowledge of some common mental health issues

  • more confidence about starting mental health conversations

  • an understanding of how to look after your own mental health
