This practical follow-on to Mental Health Skills for Managers gives managers further opportunities to practise the conversation skills and framework they have already learned. Through realistic workplace situations, conversation practice and discussion, managers build on their existing skills, embed their learning and continue developing confidence in having supportive conversations about mental health.
Managers can worry about not knowing what to say, making things worse, feeling responsible for fixing the problem or not knowing how to bring a difficult conversation to a close. This session helps managers practise responding supportively while staying within their role.
