Mental Health Skills for Managers
In-person · Online · Half-day · Up to 16 people
This half-day MHFA England training gives managers the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise when someone may be experiencing a mental health issue, have a supportive conversation and signpost to appropriate professionals and resources.
Increasingly, managers are expected to support team members experiencing stress or poor mental health. Many aren’t sure how to have conversations about mental health and worry about getting it wrong.
Managers aren’t expected to be mental health experts or act as therapists. However, they are expected to notice when a team member may be experiencing poor mental health and know what to do.
Stress, depression and anxiety account for 62% of working days lost to work-related ill health (Health and Safety Executive).
Give your managers the knowledge and confidence to support their teams without expecting them to be mental health experts.
