Project Description
Yoga Nidra
A guided mediation for deep relaxation
Yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a guided meditation technique used to encourage complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. As we draw our attention inwards, we rest between the states of wakefulness and sleep.
Yoga nidra is an ancient practice used to calm the nervous system. It can leave you feeling completely rested in as little as 30 mins! It is easy to practice, just relax and allow yourself to be guided by your facilitator.
To practice yoga nidra, you will need a quiet space free from interruptions. As you will remain still for the duration of the practice, we allocate time at the beginning of the session to focus on getting comfortable.
Wrap up warm and, if possible, have available a blanket, pillow and small folded hand towel or scarf to cover your eyes. Yoga nidra is usually practiced lying down but you can remain seated.
