Project Description
Clinical Nutritional Therapy
Evidence-based biochemistry and nutrition interventions
Nutritional therapy is a combination of nutrition science and lifestyle adjustments aimed at optimising health and wellness.
Our nutritional therapy programmes encompass dietary counselling and nutrition and lifestyle assessments. This enables us to address underlying imbalances which may be affecting your health, rather than focusing on symptoms alone.
One to one nutritional therapy
Your practitioner will work with you to develop a personalised nutrition and lifestyle protocol based on your health goals. Your protocol will take into account your lifestyle needs and food preferences. Also, where appropriate, functional testing (e.g., blood tests) and high-quality supplements can be added to enhance your protocol.
Your health goals
Our nutritional therapists assist with a wide variety of health goals including support for:
mental health
cognitive function
fatigue and low energy
hormone balancing
metabolic dysregulation
The process
Step 1 – Health and nutrition questionnaire and food diary
Prior to your initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a detailed health and nutrition questionnaire and a 3-5 day food diary.
Step 2 – Initial consultation
During your initial consultation, your practitioner will ask detailed questions about current health concerns, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, medical history, family history, lifestyle, physical activity, medication, supplements and diet.
Step 3 – Nutrition and lifestyle protocol
Your practitioner will evaluate your individual needs and develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme. This may include recommendations for functional testing and supplements.
Step 4 – Follow-up consultations
Your two follow-up consultations take place approximately four and eight weeks after your initial appointment or as agreed. These consultations are an opportunity to discuss your progress and make any necessary adjustments.
Group nutritional therapy support
Our nutritional therapists also provide group-based support in the form of workshops and courses. These aim to educate and support staff to manage health concerns such as:
transforming gut health
female hormone balancing
weight management
blood sugar balance
Cleanse and detox
mental health support
healthy heart
